Karaoke Scene Magazine is very proud to announce that KaraokeFest 2008 will take place on Saturday, September 13 that the L.A. County Fair in Pomona, CA. KaraokeFest is the largest gathering of Karaoke enthusiasts anywhere. This year’s edition of “the event that changed the face of Karaoke” promises to be the biggest and most exciting “Fest” ever as the expected 100,000+ people in attendance at the “Fair” that day will be included.
Everybody will have their chance to sing at one of the multiple Karaoke stages located throughout the park, right on the midway, operating all day and into the night.
Featured events include the finals for the famous “Crème de la Crème” regional singing competition, Karaoke’s premier contest event and centerpiece of our show, hosted by Los Angeles radio superstar, Shawn Parr. You will see the very best of the best singers and performers that Southern California Karaoke has to offer competing for thousands in cash & prizes and the honor of being crowned Male & Female Karaoke Vocalist of the Year showtime: 6pm.
In addition, this year we are continuing our newest contests, the “Crème de la Kids” and “Crème de la King” singing competitions. The first will be for outstanding vocalists from age 5-17 and the second will feature the best “Elvis” singers/impersonators (with the Finals hosted by KRTH 101 FM radio personality Sylvia Aimerito.) It should be quite a show showtime for Creme de la kids: 12 noon. Showtime for Creme de la King: 3pm.
Then there are the “Karaoke Golden Achievement Awards” (the “Oscars” of Karaoke) honoring venues and individuals throughout Southern California for outstanding contributions to Karaoke and excellence in their fields. The recipients of these prestigious awards are selected by region-wide voting both at the local club level and also on-line (click on the link below). This includes the popular “KJ of the Year” competition honoring the top KJs (Karaoke Jocks) from five separate areas of Southern California. Golden Achievement Award presentations begin at: 5:15pm.

| The ever popular and prestigious Crème de la Crème singing competition will be held at 25 venues throughout Southern California beginning on July 7th and continuing through the month of August. This is the big one, the “mother” of all Karaoke contests everywhere, so don’t miss your chance to compete for thousands in cash and prizes, your opportunity to perform on the main stage at KaraokeFest 2008 and be named Male or Female Karaoke Vocalist of the Year. We are very pleased that Manny Pacheco will be coordinating again this year. And this year our winners will be flown to Salt Lake CIty and record at the new Priddis Music, Home & Castle recording facility, courtesy of the fine folks at Priddis Music.
